“All Scripture is God breathed and profitable for teaching, correcting, rebuking and training in righteousness” in all of life and marriage. As far as Solomon’s Song of songs it is profitable for teaching us what oneness and love is. Correcting us who know and are trying to get it right. Rebuking those who know and yet willfully continue to not love as they know they ought to do. Lastly, Solomon’s Song of songs is profitable for training those who know what oneness and love is and are acting as one to keep loving and acting as one.
By the end of the love poem the two who were one prepositionally had become one as the body and soul are one. In her words love had sealed him to her and her to him, therefore she could say to him, “Put me as a seal upon your heart…” Song 8:6
The heart is a faculty of the soul who’s function is to feel or sense emotions. The heart is the seat of the emotions where love comes from and is felt by communication of the Holy Spirit by which we participate in the nature of God, who is love 2 Pt. 1:4 and 1 John 4ff.

Defining the essence and nature of oneness.
The nature of complete oneness consists in (depends upon) the mutual indwelling of love and one in the other. John 17:22ff “The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; 23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected [g]in unity”
Two things. The first is the mutual indwelling of a true and holy love that comes from God. 8:6. The second is the mutual indwelling of one in the other.
Sealed. Inseparable.
Her in him (mind and heart) and him in her (mind and heart). 5:10-16, 8:6 she is as a “seal upon his heart“. In all her decisions he never left her mind nor was there ever an intentional selfish thought. As soon as she had a selfish thought or feeling then she would not be able to ask him to seal her upon his heart because she wouldn’t be able to be trusted to be there to open the door when he knocked 5:2ff. Him and his love in her Song 1:2-3.
Frequency, duration, scope and intensity. How frequently is he on her mind? How long does he stay there? In how many various situations is he sealed to her heart so that he could trust her to be sealed to his.
I’m reminded of that song by “Air supply” or “Chicago” always on my mind, in my heart in my soul….. Baby your the meaning in my life your the inspiration. You bring feeling to my life…

Same Intentions, desires and will. To be sealed to his heart is to have the same intentions as him. Intentions are at the seat of the heart. Gen. 6:5. The wants desires are seated in the heart. Ps. 20:4. The two are one when their primary desires are the same as God’s desires. Ps. 34:7
Preengagement. The beginning. First dates. Courtship. Drawing. Being fearless. Holding communion.
A taste of the superlative feeling rouses a desire for more. ( a superlative taste is given)
Love casts out fear of harm so that motives are pure. No slavish obedience out of fear of harm but out of sincere love.
Engagement.
Distance breeds intense jealousy that if not satisfied is to painful to bear.
Throughout the whole time.
Knowledge of God, themselves and each other grows. Humility.
