Love is the Bond
We hear it said quite often but do we really understand what that means.
Love is the glue that holds our relationship together.

Love must keep on burning and love, true love, a true and holy love from God will keep on burning in the heart of a believer forever and ever! Yes, quite sadly though, while still here on earth and not fully sanctified from sin, love sometimes sleeps. Solomons Song of Songs 5:2ff
Clearly the Bride new what love was by the time the two were truly living out their union to the fullest. The two became one. Inseparable. Like the body and soul are one and the head and body function as one so also their marriage functioned as a unit. Both having/sharing the same mind and love. She becomes sealed to his arm when her heart fully belongs to him/Him. “I am his and his desire is for me.” Song 7:10 She says once she has repented and isn’t holding anything in an area back. She belongs to him. You could look at her life and heart and fully see that she belongs to him.
Having the same mind because by the time the relationship was harmoniously working, she knew him so well, him having shared his heart with her.
Since he shared his heart with her, she then had his mind. Him also having his own mind yet shared it with her. They both had his mind in their hearts. Having the same mind by him sharing both his mind and love with and to her. He still had to prove his love. He promises himself to her and now proves it so that she can both know and sense it, for it is better than wine and she must know it by sensing it for head knowledge alone is not true knowledge of God, for God is Love.
Uniting consent” of being to being has attained its goal. “And so, the saints shall be Christ’s, for he has bought them with a price, and he shall be theirs; for he who gave himself for them, will have given himself to them.” To be related to one another is not enough; fiduciary loyalty is not enough. We might say, the returns of love perceived on earth to be wanted are not enough. To have “propriety one in another” is heaven’s perfection. Placing one’s happiness in that of others is no longer a needed intention. Finding one’s own happiness in others’ happiness is in no way contingent. “Other-love derived to self” from first being joined in affection with them is now effortless. The self’s love of its own happiness has come to its own when, in heaven, we shall be each others’ own.
The established order of things is that the joy and happiness of all others belong to each and every sainted intelligent moral agent in perfect society.

I digress again, I wanted to talk about love being a bond. And try to get to understand how it is that love unites or bonds two hearts together to become one.
There is power in the idea of God and feeling we have for Him that enables the heart of both husband and wife to get closer to each other.
To have and share the same mind.
Love is strong to unite as death is strong to separate. Forever. For sure. By casting out fear of harm from the beloved. His desire is for her good and happiness. Proven over and over again.
She wanted him to draw her after him as God drew Jerimiah closer to Himself, by their “love”.
“The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore, with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”
“Draw me after you, let us hurry.,” Solomon’s song of songs 1:4.
Love has this drawing effect to it. Power to draw to lovers together. Whoever love unites love draws them closer forever. Even after death all believers will forever get closer to God and each other.
I say effect. Love has this effect for to know the power of something we must look at the effects of it. The greater the effect the more power love has. The greater the opposition overcome to get the effect also displays its power.
6 “Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.
7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.” Solomon’s song of songs 8″6
“Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” Here Paul talks about a way to keep unity of the Spirt. A way to keep unity due to the indwelling work of the Holy Spirit. Spirits work is to communicate the nature of God to the soul. God is love. The Spirit of God communicates love to the heart of a believer for that is His work. Now outflowing from love come also peace which helps keep believers bonded and ever growing closer.
The fruit of the Spirit is singular. Love. Yet when love is in the heart it has many fruits like other holy emotions like “joy and peace”. Gal. 5:22.
Here again, my mind is going dull so I will finsih.
God commands us to love Him. Put Him first. To have no other gods but Him. In our lives we tend to get a distance from God due to us continuing in sin. Our “sins have separated us from God” Isaiah.
Believe Jesus Christ has paid the penalty for our sins so that the Wrath of God would no longer abide on us. This is love. Jesus Christ, the Son of God put on flesh and then bore our sins and then felt what it was like to be separated from sensing love but rather felt the full wrath of God for us.
Confess you sins to God. Tell Him what you did. Tell Him what you deserve for sinning. Feel the guilt for sinning. Know the punishment. But remember that Jeus felt the punishment for you. Repent and then love for love unites.
