Oneness, harmony, sweetness and the power of love.

The two are one.

Simple yet complex statement that makes my heart dance with feelings that can’t be put into words.

Jesus who had, has and always will have an infinite love to His bride. Wanting them to be infinitely happy prayed for that happiness 3 the day before he died, “May they be one as We are one.”

  1. John 17:11 “I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one.”
  2. John 17:21 “that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
  3. John 17:22 “I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one

To be sure we are in Christ Jesus. In His mind and heart to the fullest degree. What is lacking for our greatest happiness is the degree to which Christ Jesus is in us. The degree of the practical oneness we have with Christ here on earth is minimal compared to the complete oneness we will have with God in Christ in heaven. Us in Him and Him in us. Then Christ’s prayer will be answered. Yet the strictness of that sweet unity will forever grow so that our happiness will be infinite in degree for it will never stop increasing. This happiness was purchased by His blood. Albeit rare, the few true Christians that are married get a small taste of this happiness in marriage. Solomon and his wife got the greatest degree of this holy sweet feeling after being married for some time. The closer we get to God the sweeter and more harmonious the holy union.

Jesus had in mind the infinitely strict union He has with the Father when He prayed for believers to be one as the Father and Son are one. You got to love that word “as” in John 17 !

The strictest possible union here on earth is pictured in Solomon’s Song of Songs 8:6-7. The bride illustrates her union with the heart of her husband by way of analogy. The analogy she chose was that of the body and mind/heart. Her union with her husband was as strict and harmonious as that of the body and soul. The body and soul are one. They were one. The Father and Son are One. Absolutely more beautiful than the sunset or a million roses is the union of two hearts in marriage!

God the Father and God the Son are one.

His/his idea of God in him and her idea of God in her mind, that idea includes and is accompanied with a delightful feeling. God in mind and Joy sensed in the heart.

The body and soul are one.

The football team acted as one. The head coach wisely and lovingly lead the team body. Who doing their part out of love, was one with their coach.

He is the head and she is the body. The two are one.

Our idea of Father must include an idea of Authority. Holy Authority. Kingship. LORD of lords. And we are to have no other gods but Him. Starting with a right idea of Him.

God’s Idea of Himself. Her idea of God and his idea of God all being the same idea or knowledge of God, which we have in Christ Jesus. Observing his divine attributes or Glory on display.

So, you have God the Father and in Him is an infinitely perfect idea of Himself. For God knows all things, primarily out of and due to His understanding being infinitely perfect.

To experience this happiness.

Read the Bible. Learn what God wants you to do. Do it and your union with Jesus will grow along with your happiness. As you obey God the sweetness and harmony of your relationship will grow. Keep reading and following your conscience as you read. Keep doing the good you know you ought to do. All of it! stop doing the things you feel guilty for as you trust that Jesus died for those sins. Believe you get to heaven because Christ’s righteousness is given to you. Not saved by your own good works but Christ’s good works credited to your account is what qualifies you to get to heaven. To make it easy and simple just keep reading the Bible and obeying!
