The Brides communion with a type of Christ.
Communion is the mutual sharing of those things which delight those in the relationship or union.
First, it is a mutual sharing. Both parties share with each other about what delights them.
They both delight in the fact that God is their Father! I mean if they were still in their sins then Satan would be their father for it is the devil whom unbelievers listen to. So an idea in the fact that both of them have the same Father they can also both delight in the fact that God is their Authority, the One they listen to and obey.
It is in this communion in prayer where His will and our will are bond tighter.
sample communion of the bride and Christ. With a goal of a stricter union of wills.
The bride to Christ, ” I delight to have you/You as the authority/Authority in the relationship.” “For it is you/You my head and I the body, yet we are one.” Both having the same will, bent or desire to listen to their true Father. The Bible being His word.
Christ to us, “I am pleased to see you put your delight in me/Me.” Your will is holy, set apart and beautiful as it is inclined to express love to Me in the form of obedience. Oh how unimaginably morally beautiful your are!
Bride to Christ, “As surely as sparks fly upward so do my thought of you/You while in your presence, where there is fullness of purifying joy.” “All I want is you/You.” “You are mine, and I am yours. Therefore draw me ever closer by your love. Draw me ever closer by you love that is better than wine.”
Christ, “With my blood I proved my undying love for you, my sister, my bride. I gave you all of me. I am yours. ”
or
Have the idea that of Him dying on the cross proving His love to us, His bride. An infinitely hot and bright flame was not snuffed out to us who is closest of kin and spouse/Spouse. He truly gave himself/Himself to us. My deepest desire to have him/Him has already been done and proven. He is mine. And out of love we have given ourselves to Him. I am His an he is my Authority. The Father Himself, Son, Solomon a Christ and his bride, all delight in the fact that The Father is the One in Authority here.
Want to have the love the couple have for each other in the Song of Songs, then both of you must have God as your Father and both delight in the truth, for love delights in truth.
Having the same Holy Father will also help to bind the two closer. Both have God the Father as the ultimate and Highest Authority.
Believing couples need to talk openly and sincerely about the fact that both of them delight to have God as their Authority and how that matters in their union.
1 God is their Father. 2 That they are His children. 3 That He loves them. 4 That they love the Father. 5 He delights to be her king and having him as her king is also her delight. Both delight in the fact that he is the king in the relationship. This they share in common. Thus having the same mind as to being happy with him being king and the person being the authority in the relationship. 6 He delights to be her shepherd and she delights for him to be her shepherd. Both are happy in respects to him being and doing the role of a shepherd.
What may be need during holy communion with Christ?
A right view of who he/He is in relation to me.
Balanced and proper emotions.
Confession.
Praise.
Desire for Him to draw me closer and expressed in words.
Praise. What is praise? If I were to praise God what would that look like?
Included in praise is A right or clearer, purer idea of God in the whole heart.
Obviously we would have to be thinking something about God in order to praise Him. It is Him we are praising therefore in a proper praise the Object of our praise must be first and foremost in thought or mind. Included in the idea of God is not only who He is, Him being God. What He is like. Who I am in relation to Him?
God is God and there is no other. In our idea of God. He is God over all. Including me. It is right for Him to have Authority of me. ( Love is a light that reveals the truth of God, that it is right and proper and a good idea to me for Him to be not only the ultimate and highest Authority but since I not only know that God is God but I delight to have him as my Authority and King. ( if this is so, that I have a bent to truly delight in the Law of the LORD, then that love and desire will manifest itself in our thoughts, emotions, words and actions.)
A right idea of God includes holy emotions. For knowledge of the true joy and delight God has for Himself must be felt first in order for a fuller and most proper idea of God. He is an infinitely pure delight. Yet not just an infinitely pure delight only, but included with that holy emotion is an infinitely perfect view or intellectual knowledge of Himself.
God the Father knows what it is like to have an infinitely perfect perfect delight in Himself for He always had it as He Eternally had a perfect view of His Son. His Son is God’s Idea of Himself. Included in God the Father’s idea of Himself is that He is the Ultimate Authority and it is His delight that He is the Ultimate Authority. So if we also have a right idea of God in us the idea that He is God, the ultimate Authority but how do I feel about the idea that God is God, the Ultimate Authority?
Well, I really don’t feel much yet. But I think, if He is the Authority then who is subservient? He is LORD, who are his subjects? Principals and powers visible and invisible. He is the King in my life. The Good Loving King of my life has a will for me. His desire is for me. His desire is or my good. Therefore it is best that you Love Him. Love. Love Him who is my King. Have affection for with the whole heart.
Mind, soul, spirit and strength. Love is done with the mind. With the mind having a right Idea of God. Also love is done with all your mind and will, and where is your mind and will? In our inner most being as part of our soul. So how is with all my heart and strength. From where is with all my soul. Dt. 6:4-5
(So what was my goal? oh, yea, the nature and essence of praise.) Right idea of God that leads us to extol Him.
my main intent of this whole post was to ponder the idea that praise includes right, high or higher views of God than you had before. Assuming a growth in love. Deeper emotions with the greater idea. So if I had an idea of Jesus suffering in my place and that act was the greatest act of love to God and a sinful bride. I would have an idea of love. Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God. Yet that idea of God that I had will not be the same as the idea I have of Him in the future. More and deeper my understanding would have gone. Therefore greater emotions. Higher thoughts, deeper feelings for longer periods of time with purer motives.
It is true that our idea of God grows as we live and learn and thus our praise and expressions of it will also grow higher in thoughts and feelings, deeper in thoughts and feelings with purer motives.
So would this also be true of a wife to her husband. If she loves him and continues to grow in her love for God will she also have higher thoughts of her husband then she had before?
1 He is royalty as she is. They are both of the highest rank possible for a human. 2 She will grow in true love to him as his character of love and humility grows.
He is royalty as she is. She is a princess bride and he is a prince husband. Yet how royal are their thoughts of one another? Can he think of her as more royal than he did before? I suppose as Jonathan Edwards might say, “Yes in accordance to her degree of being or existence or Christ likeness.” So she does have an infinite beauty due to her union and communion with Jesus Christ. Positionally she is infinitely beautiful. But practically and in reality her heart is not perfect and beautiful as it is after death and not infinitely beautiful in holiness as God see’s her infinitely strict union with Jesus and loves her the same as her Husband for they are one.
so I’m thinking that if he treated her at a time when she offended him as if she was infinitely beautiful and forgiven then he would have no anger towards her. None is felt but love then when she sins he will love her by not being angry or upset at the offense. Mainly because the due penalty for her sins were already paid for and the Father’s anger already poured out on Christ at the cross, therefore the Father has no enmity or anger towards her only love that brought about peace and joy to the relationship.
So it is who she is in thinking about who she is in Christ positionally that helps him to love her practically in life. Is this how Jesus Christ loves His bride.
Does he think about her as being one with Him and treating her accordingly?
We learned that included in praise are right and high views of God. Declaring Truth. Proclaiming His awe, love, joy and delight inspiring works. In the world, past, current and future. In marriage. God at work in marriage giving the bride a higher view of who her husband is in Christ and in or united to God.
She is a born again child of God due to her union with God the Father. What does this imply? Discipline. The love of a father in the form of discipline for holiness sake.
