“Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm.” Because the love we have for each other in our hearts is a superlative flame due to the ever increasing power and constancy of our love, unquenchably of it thus making it have a matchless value!
“Set me upon your heart.” she says. Put me in your mind and sense my love in your heart. AS a Seal. Permanently. Keep me permanently in your thoughts and delight in my love in your heart. Don’t ever stop! This woman is on holy fire like no one else!! Mary was certainly blessed to give birth to the Son of God, Rahab had amazing faith yet the matured bride in the Song is Spirit filled like no other woman. They had reached the point where their hearts where one in every respect. How beautiful is that!

As the mind desires it so the hand obeys. As if the hand loves the mind. As the husband desires it so the bride obeys for she loves him. As the mind wants it so the hands does it. So the king wants and the queen does it for she is always in his heart and he is always close to her ever faster beating heart.
The greatest Love Song that a man with unmeasurable wisdom lived and wrote ends happy and happier ever after.
They get to the point in their marriage were he/He wills it and she does it.
For the most part the bride listens to the bridegroom with the exception of once when she is comfortably sleeping and he comes home, knocks and she doesn’t answer. Solomon’s Song of Songs 5:2-5
Times when they were heart to heart. Their are many times when they are heart to heart but I will only list a few.
They were one and heart to heart in their respective roles, conversation, idea of love, idea of God thus they both had the same superlative love for each other burning ever hotter in their hearts.
Roles.
As Shepherd and Follower. They were one and united in the fact that He was the Shepherd and she was the follower. Song 1:7-8 The role of the man is to lead using God’s word as his guide. She is to follower. The mind is to decide and the hand follows. “Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm.”
King/Queen He is the king and she is the queen. The queen listens to the king. Imagine a queen who did not listen to a man gifted with unmeasurable wisdom. God gave king Solomon unmeasurable wisdom Imagine a marriage that gets the point where the bride doesn’t question her husband when he asks her to do something because she trusts her husband to be acting out of love to God and love to her and guided by the unmeasurable wisdom that God gave him that is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.
She knew she was one with him when she said “Set me as a seal upon your heart as a seal upon your arm for love is as strong as death, its jealousy is as severe as hell fire, it is a flame above all others, unquenchable and priceless.” Song 8:6-7
He said “follow” and she did. He said “arise” and she did. He said show me your lovely face and she did. He said let me her your sweet voice and she spoke. He said come down from the mountain for fear of her life and she glanced his way and did Song 4:7-10.
Oneness in Conversation. They clearly understood each other in sweet conversations. Song 1:7-1:17 Both their minds and hearts were on the same page. How beautiful and delightful is that. For two people to constantly be on the same page due to their hearts being one in the sweetest most intimate harmony.
Husbands learn about the love Jesus has for His bride so you can love your wife the same. Glorify God in your marriage by getting ever closer and closer to God and each other. This is the goal of Marriage. Marriage is meant to glorify God. A marriage that glorifies God has Jesus Christ the Son of God first in mind and heart. A husband is to love his wife as Christ loved the Church. How can he do this unless he studies, learns and keeps idea’s of Jesus’ love for the church constantly in mind. Jesus forgives the church and keeps no record of wrongs. Jesus is patient. Jesus is loving. Jesus is humble. Jesus is gentle. Jesus is faithful to His promises and on and on he never stop loving His Bride!! So husbands love your wife as Christ Jesus loves His bride and as she reciprocates her love thus the purpose of head and body being one is made manifest. Which is for the glory of God to be seen and delighted in. The glory of God is seen in a marriage where both love each other.
We would say that their would be a disharmony between the head and the arm if the arm didn’t listen to the head. So also their is disharmony in a marriage when the bride doesn’t listen to a godly husband.
A marriage that glorifies God is one where both have a right idea of love. How can two walk together unless they be in agreement on their idea of God, Salvation, the way to heaven and love?
