“Set me as a seal upon your heart. As a seal on your arm.” Solomon’s Song of Song 8:6
Here we have the main goal of oneness in every way in marriage recognized by the bride. She knows herself to be one with her husband/Husband. Made in his image. Made in his/His likeness. They are like minded due to the power of God’s love in their marriage. Love like a sweet flame was seen and tasted by the whole heart. They both have the same idea and sense of the love and Beauty of God. Her idea of God and his idea of God are the same. She could be set like a seal over his heart.
He has something of the Original in him/Him and he see’s it in her actions and beauty, therefore he is delighted and pleased when he see’s an outward manifestation of that beauty. Thus delighting in the God who made her that way 7:1, for where ever the outward manifestation of beauty is, the reflection of God who is Love is seen and tasted.
What is this seal? And how is it that the seal can be set over his heart?

A piece of putty or wax would be put on letters, documents or anything of importance then stamped with the image of the king. The bride is talking to the king. Israel’s Messiah and she is asking him to set her like a seal upon his heart. His heart has a shape and if he would put her on that shape or his image then they would match. He is who he is and she would be made in his image of she were the seal.
His image on his ring would be used as a personal signature or symbol of family heritage. Representing who you are and what you stand for. God and His Love.
Putting his stamp of approval on the contents of the letter. Stamp your seal of approval upon me. Love of complacency at it’s completeness.
Set her like a seal upon his heart for he owns her completely. A sealed document with an image of the king meant that the king took ownership of the contents. His name was at stake.
What would happen if she who is body and mind where like a wax seal. A seal with her image and his image perfectly matching because they were one. They were always positionally one but now practically in every way they are likeminded and heart to heart because their love was unquenchable and stronger than spiritual death.
The wax is made into a likeness of the image. There is an imprint upon the wax that is like the image on the ring, stamp or seal.
For example if the king of peace had a ring with his image on it. Lets say that image is a heart representing love. She would then be asking the king to take her imprinted image, and place it upon his image for love is stronger than death… She is able to do so because the two match perfectly. She is now in his likeness. The are likeminded in everyday. The mind is part of the heart and in order to be heart to heart then they must be like minded which is a part of the oneness of heart effected by their union in love. They both have the same idea’s of God and each other.
Likemindedness is what happens when couples who have known each other for a long time that they can finish each others sentences because they know what the other is thinking.
Imagine two people who have grown in their love to God to the point where the spouses have become so close and heart to heart that they are practically one in every way.
Every way because of the seal. The seal must be the same in every height of the imprint, every length, every width and depth in order for the imprint to be the same as the original image.
Wrap me around your heart, keep me forever in your mind. Keep who I am and my relationship to you always before you for you are always on my mind, for love unites and overpowers the sin that separates.
Eve could say this to Adam before they sinned and the Son of God could say this to the Father. Eve and the Son of God are the image of the original/Original. Her knowledge of God and his knowledge of God are the same so that she who is both body and soul or body and heart or body and mind. The mind being where the knowledge of God is. They are likeminded in every way. The most important way they are like minded is in their knowledge of God. The knowledge of who God is and His love to them.
The Father has an idea of Himself and His Love. The Son has an idea and sense of God’s love. The both share the same idea and sense of God’s Love. They are likeminded. Notice here that being likeminded also includes not only head knowledge of the Love of God but also a holy sense of His Beauty or Love.
The glory of God is on display most in a marriage relationship when the two are one in reality. The bride comes to the knowledge that she is one with the king whom she loves and can say “Set me as a seal, like a seal upon your arm”
?Is she the image and power of man? What does “upon your arm” mean?
She has an ability to produce effects. She has power being in his image to do his will. His arm. The head/Head tells the arm/bride what to do and the arm obeys/loves. She is loving like him in her heart therefore she is also a seal upon his arm.
True holiness consists in Love to God. You are without evil if you love God with all you mind, heart, soul and strength. Holiness which is the Beauty of God consists in His Love to Himself.
His idea of love and his idea of her are the same. Her in action is the fruit of love.
