Get hooked on obeying God just because it feels lighter than continuing in sin.
Really you have found rest and are enjoying God and Glorifying Him.
You have to learn how to keep that good feeling, joy in God that is your strength in difficult trials.
From reading the Bible you know what God wants of you.
You know beforehand that it is something God would not want you to do.
You feel the pull and there is an attraction to do whatever the devil want you to do,
Your will and not God’s is whats on your mind at this point.
Self wants to sin and get enjoyment out of sin. Deny yourself and Jesus will sup with you. This is my point. Right here. Get trained by you Father in the most loving way ever. Learn how to stop sinning by learning how to obey. How to behold the Beauty of the Lord. How to have only that one desire? You have to enjoy God obeying God more than the enjoyment you get from your sin. God trains you by giving you more joy and deeper communion with Him when you deny yourself. And God trains you by letting you feel separation from His Special Love in Christ. But your doves eyes straight on the Love of Christ and never look anywhere else. Stay focused on His love and it will change you. Ask For God to show you His Love over and over again. Never Stop asking. But believe that He will and the love of God will be shed abroad in your heart and you will have joy inexpressible and His Love will surpass your understanding but you got a better grasp of how high, deep, wide and long is the Love of Christ. The desire and hunger for a better idea of the Love of Christ is an appetite of your mind. Love him with all your mind. Put your mind on the Love of God on Display in Christ’s dying love for His bride. Your mind wants to know the Love of Christ, your pure and holy doves eyes desire to only see His Beauty (His Holiness in the temple) His Love and Grace toward me in Christ.
Now after learning that there is a spiritual growth blessing after denying oneself and this whole Loving God and enjoying Him thing is more delightful than disobeying Him then I am trained through practice to discern good and evil.
The truths in Scripture constantly on our minds. And if not then we are learning and doing His will as we experience His Love for us and to us in the partaking of His Nature upon my heart. With my whole heart, I do love thee. Love is the Nature of God. Love is God. Love comes from God. And Love always was reciprocated by God and His Word. Communion with the word of God. The word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His Glory, full of Grace and Truth.
Jesus will let you know that He delighted in you denying yourself for Him. This is His supping with you. The metaphor of delicious dinner is employed to communicate enjoyment and feasting around a table. Enjoyment in God and feasting off of Christ. When you commune with God. Christ the King suffered the full Wrath of God on behalf of His Enemies. To Display His Love. The Father Gave the Spirit. The Father showed Love. The Father gave His Love the Holy Spirit to Christ. Christ in turn demonstrates His love to the Father by redeeming an enemy slave from the Wrath of God by Him experiencing pain for her sins, when she sins. He let her know it pained her by letting her get pained and suffer from the withdrawing of His Love felt Presence. But you want to enjoy His Love felt Presence so next time you feel tempted you will not sin. But be more apt to show or demonstrate your love because experiencing God’s love is what you desire. “Let Christ show me His love over and over again!!
Obeying God out of Love to Him out to be a lighter yoke than when your weren’t saved.
Matthew 11:28-30
28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” and
Getting intoxicated and addicted to experiencing God’s Love and Delight He has in Himself in you gets addicting to say the least. You want it all the time. So continually humble yourself and deny yourself to demonstrate your love. Intentionally, continually, and at greater intensities denying myself for the enjoyment and Glory of God.
Of denial and deny yourself. Knowing there is a blessing after not giving in to the temptation will give strength to you in the temptation. How do you know there is a blessing after intentional self denial? Because it happened before. Many times God has blessed me with a closer more intimate relationship with Himself when I denied myself. Train your spiritual senses in this way. You know in the past that God has blessed you with a closer relationship with Him before when you repented. He will do it again. And again. Get experienced in this ability to obey and then get a blessing of being able to enjoy Him at a greater degree.
You enjoy Him at a greater degree because your love for Him grew. You more intentionally denied yourself, you watched ahead of time and prayed instead of battling in your own strength, you displayed love and humility by being dependent upon Him, He see’s this love and humility as doves eyes. As a believer you have doves eyes and what I mean by that is that doves eyes have no peripheral vision, they see only one thing like David, “One thing I ask” Ps. 27:4 That will I seek with my doves eyes beholding the beauty of the Lord find rest with my mind dwelling on His Love for me in substitutionary atonement in the temple. He has promised to sup with those who show their love to Him by their intentionally denying of themselves out of love to Him, thus demonstrating their love to Him. Communion in Love. He loves us. Us seeing and enjoying His Love glorifies Him, you were created to Glorify God and enjoy Him forever. Grow in your love and delight in God and He gets glory!! Do you not want rest for your soul. Jesus Christ praying to god on his knees and pleading with his father for any other way to save them other than feeling His Wrath. Jesus then willing went like a lamb to the slaughter humbling himself to the point of death on a cross
Ability of the will is displayed in the willingness of the obedience. How willing are you to obey when tempted? The more you know in advance that you are denying yourself then the greater will that act or display love be. Greater love is manifested in ability or power. There are many illustrations of acts of lesser and greater power. Christ in the garden displayed the willingness of His Love. God showed Christ in advance the Cup of His Wrath. How great was His willingness to suffer for His enemies to be His friends? Would He feel separation from the Special Love of God for the redemption of His enemies? This would display the Love Of God. God Loved His Son. God Loved His Word. His Love to His Bride in Christ always was is and will be the same.
Your His child, He is training you. Training you to obey, like a Father to a child. Felt Separation from the special love of my Father and I experience a spanking. Father is displeased because the son disobeyed God. So the Father turns His Back on the Son demonstrating His hatred for sin. Sin dishonors God. As God’s representative I will demonstrate His Wrath to a lesser degree. God hates sin and His Wrath abides on those outside of Christ. But you are His child if you are receiving this training. If not you are no child of God. Are you not becoming more holy and pure in heart and life then you are no child of God. God disciplines those he loves. His Jealousy over their holiness can not be quenched. He will train you gently and humbly if you wish but harsher if you are stubborn. This is His love for you listen when he disciplines you. This will train your spiritual senses to discern good from evil.
